Turkey Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Banking, and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.58% to hit a new 6-month low.
Top Performers
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were:
– Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK): up 9.98% or 15.20 points to trade at 167.50 at the close.
– Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN): up 6.16% or 28.25 points to end at 486.50.
– Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV): up 2.74% or 1.40 points to 52.45 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER): down 7.99% or 8.25 points to trade at 94.95.
– Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK): down 5.44% or 8.00 points to end at 139.00.
– Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY): down 5.13% or 11.90 points to 220.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 420 to 145, with 13 stocks ending unchanged.
Commodities Update
- Gold Futures for December delivery were up 0.30% or 8.15 to $2,738.15 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.54% or 1.06 to hit $69.75 a barrel.
- The December Brent oil contract rose 1.25% or 0.91 to trade at $73.97 a barrel.
Currency Update
- USD/TRY was up 0.80% to 34.26.
- EUR/TRY fell 0.15% to 37.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 103.71.
