Turkey Stock Market Review
Investing.com – Turkish stocks closed lower on Thursday, primarily due to losses in the Telecom, Tourism, and Banking sectors.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 index declined by 1.52%.
Best Performers
- Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA): rose 3.98% (0.46 points) to 12.01 at close.
- Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:OBAMS): added 2.76% (1.40 points) to 52.10.
- Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LMKDC): up 2.63% (0.80 points) to 31.24.
Worst Performers
- Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR): fell 6.86% (3.10 points) to 42.10.
- Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN): declined 5.72% (2.62 points) to 43.20.
- Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV): down 5.02% (2.95 points) to 55.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, with 445 declines compared to 122 advances, and 16 remained unchanged.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures (February delivery): down 1.89% (50.06) to $2,603.24 a troy ounce.
- Crude Oil (January delivery): fell 0.94% (0.66) to $69.92 a barrel.
- Brent Oil (February contract): down 0.18% (0.13) to $73.26 a barrel.
Currency Update
- USD/TRY: up 0.19% to 35.10.
- EUR/TRY: rose 0.60% to 36.48.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 107.87.
