Turkey Stocks Close Lower
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Transport, and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.87%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were:
– Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN): rose 9.97%, gaining 41.50 points to trade at 457.75.
– Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT): added 9.97%, up 200.00 points to end at 2,207.00.
– Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS): increased 4.22%, up 0.49 points to 12.09 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session included:
– Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO): fell 4.10%, down 10.00 points to trade at 233.70.
– AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL): declined 3.88%, losing 13.50 points to end at 334.00.
– Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN): down 3.78%, a decrease of 1.40 points to 35.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 290 to 272, with 14 ending unchanged.
Commodities
- Gold Futures for December delivery decreased by 0.55%, down 13.80 to $2,513.80 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for October delivery fell 4.15%, down 3.05 to hit $70.50 a barrel.
- November Brent oil contract decreased by 4.57%, down 3.54, trading at $73.98 a barrel.
Currency
- USD/TRY rose 0.40% to 34.02.
- EUR/TRY increased by 0.11% to 37.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 101.75.
