Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 1.00%

Turkish Stocks Rise

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, with gains in the Telecoms, Tourism, and Electricity sectors leading shares upwards.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.00%, reaching a new one-month high.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 included:
Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY): up 9.95% or 25.00 points to trade at 276.25.
Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN): increased 7.94% or 1.68 points to end at 22.84.
Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK): up 7.57% or 14.60 points to 207.50.

Worst Performers

The worst performers included:
Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM): down 4.26% or 1.80 points to trade at 40.44.
ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI): declined 2.98% or 1.60 points to 52.05.
Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER): down 2.67% or 3.10 points to 113.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, with 414 advancing and 148 declining, while 16 remained unchanged.

Shares in Enerya Enerji AS reached all-time highs, increasing 9.95% or 25.00 to 276.25.

Commodities Update

  • Gold Futures for December delivery fell 2.54% or 68.40 to $2,626.40 a troy ounce.
  • Crude oil for December delivery decreased 3.10% or 2.18 to $68.20 a barrel.
  • January Brent oil contract dipped 2.80% or 2.07 to $71.80 a barrel.

Currency Update

  • USD/TRY was up 0.89% to 34.34.
  • EUR/TRY fell 0.61% to 36.58.

The US Dollar Index Futures increased 0.60% to 105.52.
