Trump Proposes 100% Tariff on Stellantis
WARREN, Michigan (Reuters) – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated on Friday that if elected, he would impose a 100% tariff on Stellantis (NYSE:STLA) should the automaker attempt to relocate jobs from the U.S. to Mexico.
During a rally in Michigan, Trump addressed concerns raised by another speaker regarding Stellantis sending vehicles made by Chrysler, which it owns, to Mexico.
"Tell Stellantis that if they plan on moving we're going to charge them a 100% tariff on every car … and they won't move," Trump declared.
