Moonshot’s Rise on the App Store

Memecoin launchpad Moonshot has surged to become the top finance app in the U.S. Apple App Store, ranking as the #7 most popular free app overall, following the launch of President-elect Trump’s $TRUMP memecoin on Friday night.

The $TRUMP memecoin experienced a dramatic price increase soon after its launch as initial skepticism faded; it now has a fully-diluted market value exceeding $30 billion.

$TRUMP’s success significantly benefited Moonshot, a competitor to Pump.fun, also operating on the Solana blockchain, and featured on the $TRUMP token’s website as the recommended platform for purchasing tokens using crypto or debit cards. Moonshot additionally allows deposits via Apple Pay.

As Moonshot climbed the rankings and surpassed popular apps like Instagram and TikTok, the team celebrated on their X account.

> “In the last 12 hours, we were featured on $TRUMP’s website as THE way to buy, processed nearly $400 million in volume, crushed fiat onramp records by orders of magnitude, and brought 200,000+ new users onchain,” they posted on Saturday.

The surge in traffic, however, led to some platform issues, which the team is actively addressing. “We have an extremely high load right now and are getting through all the support tickets,” Moonshot stated.
