Sweden Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, led by losses in the Industrials, Healthcare, and Oil & Gas sectors.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.89%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 included:
Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa): +2.08% or 4.50 points to trade at 221.10.
Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb): +1.84% or 0.12 points to end at 6.35.
Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA): +1.77% or 0.58 points to 33.34.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN): -3.35% or 59.00 points to trade at 1,700.00.
Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb): -2.49% or 4.00 points to end at 154.70.
Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb): -2.48% or 7.50 points to 293.30.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 423 to 338, with 85 remaining unchanged.

Shares in Telia Company AB rose to 52-week highs, increasing by 1.77% or 0.58 to 33.34.

Commodity Prices

Crude oil for October delivery rose 0.12% or 0.08 to $69.28 a barrel.
Brent oil for delivery in November increased 0.12% or 0.09 to $72.79 a barrel.
The December Gold Futures contract was up 0.48% or 12.25, trading at $2,538.25 a troy ounce.

Currency Exchange Rates

  • EUR/SEK was down 0.05% to 11.38.
  • USD/SEK fell 0.21% to 10.25.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 101.10.
