Sweden Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, with losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials, and Industrials sectors leading shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.23%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were:
– Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA): rose 1.63% or 0.52 points to trade at 32.36 at the close.
– Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b): added 0.82% or 0.95 points to end at 117.45.
– Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa): up 0.64% or 1.40 points to 220.80 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb): fell 5.47% or 13.30 points to trade at 229.10.
– Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb): declined 4.26% or 0.30 points to end at 6.63.
– Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb): down 2.29% or 2.30 points to 96.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 503 to 251, with 89 ending unchanged.
Shares in Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) rose to 52-week highs, up 1.63% or 0.52 to 32.36. Shares in Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) also reached 52-week highs, rising 0.82% or 0.95 to 117.45.
Commodities
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.95% or 0.70 to $74.25 a barrel. In commodities trading:
– Brent oil for November delivery rose 0.75% or 0.58 to hit $77.51 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 5.85 to trade at $2,533.45 a troy ounce.
Currency Exchange Rates
- EUR/SEK was up 0.24% to 11.35.
- USD/SEK fell 0.09% to 10.25.
The US Dollar Index Futures remained unchanged at 101.62.
