Spain Stock Market Overview

Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, with major losses in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate, and Building & Construction sectors.

At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.58%.

Best Performers

  • SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS): +2.36% (0.26 points) to trade at 11.27.
  • Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX): +1.24% (0.43 points) to end at 35.16.
  • Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE): +1.07% (0.22 points) to close at 20.78.

Worst Performers

  • Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb): -3.08% (0.77 points) to trade at 24.24.
  • Fluidra (BME:FLUI): -2.92% (0.64 points) to end at 21.28.
  • Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA): -2.48% (0.23 points) to close at 9.05.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 142 to 57, with 16 remaining unchanged.

Commodities

  • Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% (2.60) to $2,525.60 a troy ounce.
  • Crude oil for October delivery fell 0.88% (0.62) to $69.72 a barrel.
  • Brent oil for November fell 0.77% (0.57) to trade at $73.18 a barrel.

Currency Markets

  • EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.11.
  • EUR/GBP remained unchanged at 0.84.
  • US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 101.33.
