Spanish Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Telecoms & IT, and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.53%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were:
– Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE): rose 4.43% or 0.92 points to trade at 21.70.
– SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS): added 3.99% or 0.45 points to end at 11.72.
– Acciona (BME:ANA): up 2.16% or 2.70 points to 127.70.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Grifols SA (BME:GRLS): fell 2.52% or 0.25 points to trade at 9.52.
– Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX): declined 1.96% or 0.94 points to end at 46.93.
– Logista (BME:LOG): down 0.22% or 0.06 points to 27.84.
Market Overview
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 117 to 67 with 35 ending unchanged.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for December delivery were up 0.50% or 12.55 to $2,538.55 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.35% or 0.24 to hit $69.44 a barrel.
- November Brent oil contract rose 0.26% or 0.19 to trade at $72.89 a barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.11.
- EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.84.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 101.11.
