Russia Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas, and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index declined 0.73% to hit a new 1-month low.

Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– AFK Sistema PJSC (MCX:AFKS): fell 3.94% or 0.58 points to trade at 14.08 at the close.
– NOVATEK PJSC (MCX:NVTK): declined 3.27% or 31.40 points to end at 929.20.
– TKS Holding MKPAO (MCX:TCSG): down 2.82% or 72.00 points to 2,483.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 208 to 40 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in AFK Sistema PJSC (MCX:AFKS) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.94% or 0.58, settling at 14.08.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, measuring the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 1.67% to 28.19.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for December delivery were down 1.11% or 30.70 to $2,729.10 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.97% or 0.69 to hit $70.62 a barrel.
- The December Brent oil contract decreased by 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $75.21 a barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- USD/RUB was down 0.01% to 95.92.
- EUR/RUB remained unchanged at 103.44.
- The US Dollar Index Futures rose by 0.35% at 104.27.
