Portugal Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials, and Utilities sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.65% to hit a new 1-month low.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the PSI were:
Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS): rose 1.68% or 0.09 points to trade at 5.13 at the close.
The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR): added 1.03% or 0.04 points to end at 3.73.
Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA): was up 0.57% or 0.01 points to 2.48 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR): fell 3.59% or 0.56 points to trade at 15.03 at the close.
EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP): declined 1.79% or 0.07 points to end at 4.01.
Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS): down 1.10% or 0.04 points to 3.61.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 11, with 6 ending unchanged.

Commodities Update

  • Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.29% or 0.21 to $73.77 a barrel.
  • Crude oil for November delivery rose 0.36% or 0.25 to $70.08 a barrel.
  • December Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 18.30 to trade at $2,672.00 a troy ounce.

Forex Market

  • EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.11.
  • EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 101.26.
