Netherlands Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials, and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.82%, reaching a new 1-month low.

Best Performers

Heineken (AS:HEIN): Increased 2.62% or 2.02 points to trade at 79.00
DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR): Gained 0.92% or 1.05 points to end at 115.25
Exor NV (AS:EXOR): Up 0.61% or 0.60 points to 98.65

Worst Performers

The worst performers were:
Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO): Decreased 3.52% or 2.22 points to 60.88
Randstad NV (AS:RAND): Declined 2.47% or 1.09 points to 43.08
Unilever PLC (AS:ULVR): Down 2.31% or 1.32 points to 55.82

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 75 to 24, with 8 ending unchanged.

AEX Volatility

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, remained unchanged at 0.00%, standing at 21.09.

Commodity Prices

Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.69% or 1.21, priced at $70.53 a barrel. In other commodities trading:
Brent oil for December: Fell 1.66% or 1.26, hitting $74.78 a barrel
December Gold Futures: Decreased 0.95% or 26.35, trading at $2,733.45 a troy ounce.

  • EUR/USD: Unchanged at 0.19%, trading at 1.08
  • EUR/GBP: Unchanged at 0.15%, trading at 0.83
  • US Dollar Index Futures: Up 0.38% at 104.31.
