Netherlands Stock Market Summary

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology, and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.47%.

Best Performers

  • Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG): rose 2.00% (0.49 points) to trade at 25.02.
  • ING Groep NV (AS:INGA): added 0.75% (0.12 points) to end at 15.85.
  • ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd): up 0.72% (0.11 points) to 15.40.

Worst Performers

  • ASM International NV (AS:ASMI): fell 2.08% (10.80 points) to trade at 507.60.
  • Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG): declined 2.00% (0.47 points) to end at 22.98.
  • ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML): down 1.42% (8.90 points) to 618.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 70 to 35, and 5 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged at 21.09.

Commodities

  • Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.48% (1.72) to $71.21 a barrel.
  • Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.30% (1.68) to hit $74.78 a barrel.
  • December Gold Futures fell 0.21% (5.90) to trade at $2,743.30 a troy ounce.

Currency Markets

  • EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.09.
  • EUR/GBP unchanged at 0.84.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 103.79.
