Netherlands Stock Market Overview

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, with losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials, and Healthcare sectors contributing to the decline.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined by 0.28%.

Best Performers

The top performers of the session on the AEX included:
Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN): up 1.79% or 24.20 points to 1,379.20.
Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG): up 1.32% or 0.31 points to 23.73.
ASM International NV (AS:ASMI): up 1.11% or 6.40 points to 583.20.

Worst Performers

The worst performers were:
ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT): down 3.49% or 0.81 points to 22.41.
Prosus (AS:PRX): down 2.83% or 1.17 points to 40.12.
Heineken (AS:HEIN): down 2.24% or 1.76 points to 76.94.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 57 to 34, with 16 remaining unchanged.

Shares in Heineken reached a 3-year low, dropping 2.24%.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, remained unchanged at 21.09.

Commodity Markets

  • Crude oil for November delivery fell 4.39% or 3.39 to $73.75 a barrel.
  • Brent oil for December delivery declined 4.37% or 3.54 to $77.39 a barrel.
  • December Gold Futures dropped 1.23% or 32.70 to $2,633.30 a troy ounce.

Currency Exchange Rates

  • EUR/USD: unchanged at 1.10.
  • EUR/GBP: unchanged at 0.84.
  • US Dollar Index Futures: unchanged at 102.30.
