Netherlands Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, driven by gains in the Real Estate, Telecoms, and Oil & Gas sectors.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.05%.
Best Performers
The top performers on the AEX for the session included:
– Heineken (AS:HEIN): +1.14% or +0.92 points, closing at 81.54.
– Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD): +1.02% or +0.31 points, ending at 30.62.
– ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd): +1.01% or +0.16 points, closing at 15.54.
Worst Performers
The laggards of the session were:
– ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL): -1.92% or -0.88 points, closing at 45.01.
– ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT): -1.00% or -0.21 points, ending at 20.80.
– BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI): -0.76% or -0.90 points, trading at 118.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange with 56 declining and 47 advancing, while 12 remained unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, reflecting the implied volatility of AEX options, remained unchanged at 21.09.
Commodities Update
Crude oil for October delivery fell 2.08% or 1.61 to $75.81 a barrel. In the commodities market, Brent oil for delivery in November decreased 1.83% or 1.47 to $78.89 a barrel. The December Gold Futures contract also dropped 0.38% or 9.70 to $2,545.50 an ounce.
Currency Exchange Rates
- EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.12.
- EUR/GBP was stable at 0.84.
- The US Dollar Index Futures decreased 0.09% to 100.65.
