Musk to Attend Trump’s Rally
(Reuters) – Elon Musk announced on Thursday that he will attend Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, marking the former U.S. president’s return following a previous assassination attempt in July.
“I will be there to support!” Musk replied to a post by Trump on X, confirming his attendance at the event on Saturday.
Musk, CEO of Tesla and owner of X, referred to Trump as “tough,” officially endorsing him after the assassination attempt he survived in Butler on July 13, showcasing Musk’s shift towards right-wing politics.
The rally on October 5 will take place at the same location where Trump was grazed in the right ear, and a rallygoer was killed during a shooting incident. The assailant, identified as Thomas Crooks, was killed by a Secret Service sniper.
In another incident in September, Trump survived another assassination attempt at a golf course in Florida, where a gunman was undetected for nearly 12 hours.
Kamala Harris, a Democrat, is set to face Trump on November 5 in a closely contested presidential race based on recent polls.
