Mexico Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 0.53%.
Best Performers
The top performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were:
– Regional SAB de CV (BMV:RA): +8.48% or 9.69 points to trade at 124.00
– Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:GFNORTEO): +7.63% or 10.65 points to end at 150.15
– Grupo Financiero Inbursa, SAB De CV (BMV:GFINBURO): +5.90% or 2.63 points to 47.23
Worst Performers
The worst performers were:
– Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q): -5.34% or 8.22 points to trade at 145.75
– Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:ASURB): -4.57% or 25.46 points to end at 531.91
– Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO): -4.31% or 0.52 points to 11.54
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 142 to 82, with 15 remaining unchanged.
Commodities Update
- Gold Futures for December delivery were down 0.38% or 10.20 to $2,680.10 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for November delivery rose 1.69% or 1.18 to $71.01 a barrel.
- The December Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.04 to trade at $74.62 a barrel.
Currency Update
- USD/MXN was up 0.09% to 19.42
- EUR/MXN rose 0.05% to 21.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 101.39.
