Mexico Stocks Close Lower

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.49%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were:
Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q): +3.38% (up 4.66 points to 142.58)
Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES): +1.91% (up 5.42 points to 288.68)
Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALFAA): +1.81% (up 0.28 points to 15.76)

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB): -3.46% (down 0.95 points to 26.53)
Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:KOFUBL): -2.94% (down 4.86 points to 160.72)
Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO): -2.75% (down 0.31 points to 10.97)

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 127 to 99, and 19 ended unchanged.

Shares in Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALFAA) rose to 52-week highs, increasing 1.81% or 0.28 to 15.76.
