SEC Withdraws Appeal on Dealer Rule Expansion
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), under acting chair Mark Uyeda, has withdrawn its appeal in the lawsuit concerning its dealer rule expansion. This decision comes after a Texas court ruling that deemed the rule “untethered” from existing laws. The lawsuit was initiated in April 2024 by the Blockchain Association and the Crypto Freedom Alliance of Texas (CFAT).
