Japan Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, led by gains in the Shipbuilding, Financial Services, and Paper & Pulp sectors.

At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 gained 0.72%.

  • Nissui Corp (TYO:1332): +4.54% (up 40.60 points, ending at 935.00)
  • Yokogawa Electric Corp. (TYO:6841): +4.36% (up 167.00 points, at 3,994.00)

Worst Performers

  • Lasertec Corp (TYO:6920): -4.32% (down 1,245.00 points, trading at 27,580.00)
  • Mercari Inc (TYO:4385): -3.07% (down 70.50 points, ending at 2,228.50)
  • Hitachi Ltd (TYO:6501): -1.86% (down 64.00 points, at 3,370.00)

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2,783 to 871, with 219 ending unchanged.

The Nikkei Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was up 0.20% to 25.43.
