Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials, and Insurance sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.42%.

Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT): rose 1.81% or 1,340.00 points to trade at 75,420.00.
ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL): added 0.82% or 13.00 points to end at 1,601.00.
Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG): was up 0.70% or 32.00 points to 4,588.00 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT): fell 3.66% or 229.00 points to trade at 6,025.00.
Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE): declined 3.57% or 150.00 points to end at 4,050.00.
Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN): down 3.41% or 73.00 points to 2,067.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 243 to 206, with 90 ending unchanged.

Commodity Prices

  • Brent oil for December rose 3.03% or 2.17 to hit $73.87 a barrel.
  • December Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 21.50 to trade at $2,680.90 a troy ounce.

Currency Update

  • USD/ILS was up 1.02% to 3.75.
  • EUR/ILS rose 0.49% to 4.16.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 100.92.
