XRP Price Predictions and Market Commentary
A prominent market commentator has insisted that XRP will reach a double-digit price this year, questioning why people are selling now.
This disclosure came from Vandell Aljarrah, co-founder of investment resource Black Swan Capitalist, during a turbulent phase for XRP due to broader market uncertainty amid macroeconomic concerns.
After spiking 11.32% on March 19 following Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s announcement that the U.S. SEC had dropped its appeal against the company, XRP saw a correction the next day.
“I Can’t Believe People Are Selling Now”
This led to panic selling that has sustained pressure, keeping XRP below the $2.5 mark. Investor Oscar Ramos highlighted this trend, lamenting selloffs by individuals he termed “paper hand whales.”
In response to the current selling activity, Aljarrah took to X, stating, “I can’t believe people are selling now.” With the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit nearing conclusion and the U.S. entering a new phase of regulatory clarity, he believes selling XRP now seems ill-advised.
A community member suggested that some investors selling might be doing so due to financial constraints. Aljarrah acknowledged the tough times but insisted that investors must be resilient.
Aljarrah’s sentiment also stemmed from XRP’s rapid price spikes from November 2024 to mid-January 2025, where it surged 580% from $0.5 to a seven-year peak of $3.4 before correcting.
XRP to Double Digits This Year?
Given its impressive performance, Aljarrah is confident XRP could hit double digits this year. Currently priced at $2.42, reaching even $10 requires a massive 313% rally.
Market analysts have previously projected high targets for XRP. In December, Alex Clay mentioned a trajectory toward $8 and then $10, while others like Evai CEO Matthew Dixon and Dark Defender have predicted targets of $13 and $18, respectively.
As XRP trades down 1.22% in the last 24 hours, achieving $10, $13, or $18 remains a significant challenge that will require substantial increases from the current price level. Though these targets are ambitious, the market’s current conditions make them uncertain.
