Greece Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household, and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.34%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were:
Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr): rose 6.17% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.82.
Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR): added 4.93% or 0.70 points to end at 14.90.
Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr): was up 2.22% or 0.07 points to 2.99 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Intralot (AT:INLr): fell 2.73% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.07.
Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr): declined 2.43% or 0.05 points to end at 2.01.
Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr): was down 1.88% or 0.14 points to 7.30.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 73 to 50, with 15 ending unchanged.

Commodities Update

  • Gold Futures for December delivery were up 0.32% or 8.75, reaching $2,738.75 a troy ounce.
  • In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery rose 1.25% or 0.86, hitting $69.55 a barrel.
  • The December Brent oil contract increased 1.05% or 0.77, trading at $73.83 a barrel.

Currency Update

  • EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.08 (up 0.27%).
  • EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.83 (up 0.14%).
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 103.63.
