Greece Stock Market Overview

Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel, and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.30%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were:
Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr): rose 3.46% or 0.14 points to trade at 4.04.
Autohellas (AT:AUTr): added 3.24% or 0.36 points to end at 11.48.
Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr): was up 2.99% or 0.06 points to 2.07 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr): fell 2.55% or 0.26 points to trade at 9.94.
Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR): declined 2.04% or 0.30 points to end at 14.40.
Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr): was down 1.64% or 0.26 points to 15.64.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 53, and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) fell to 52-week lows, losing 2.04% or 0.30 to 14.40.

Commodity Market

  • Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.58% or 14.90 to $2,545.40 a troy ounce.
  • Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.67% or 2.03 to hit $73.88 a barrel.
  • The November Brent oil contract fell 2.21% or 1.74 to trade at $77.08 a barrel.

Currency Market

  • EUR/USD was unchanged at 0.02% to 1.11.
  • EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.13% to 0.84.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.39.
