Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, driven primarily by losses in the Technology, Construction, and Software sectors.

DAX declined 0.90%
MDAX index declined 0.78%
TecDAX index lost 1.24%

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 415 to 165, with 35 ending unchanged.

Shares in GEA Group AG (ETR:G1AG) rose to 52-week highs, gaining 0.53% (0.24) to 45.10.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.40% to 18.38.

Commodity Trading

  • Gold Futures for December delivery rose 0.07% (1.80) to $2,671.50 a troy ounce.
  • Crude oil for delivery in November rose 4.41% (3.09) to $73.19 a barrel.
  • December Brent oil contract rose 4.18% (3.09) to $76.99 a barrel.

Currency Updates

  • EUR/USD: unchanged at 1.10
  • EUR/GBP: +0.87% to 0.84
  • US Dollar Index Futures: +0.35% at 101.79
