Finland Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology, and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.50%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were:
Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA): rose 2.28% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.37 at the close.
Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA): added 2.25% or 0.10 points to end at 4.41.
Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES): was up 0.93% or 0.08 points to 8.64 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM): fell 2.34% or 2.10 points to trade at 87.80 at the close.
Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB): declined 2.25% or 0.13 points to end at 5.64.
Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV): was down 1.66% or 0.18 points to 10.66.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 91 to 66, and 32 ended unchanged.

Shares in Nokia Oyj reached 52-week highs, increasing 2.28% to 4.37, while shares in Metsa Board Oyj B fell to 3-year lows at 5.64.

Commodities Update

  • Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.45% or 1.06 to $74.12 a barrel.
  • Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.76% or 1.21 to hit $69.90 a barrel.
  • December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 4.15 to trade at $2,734.15 a troy ounce.

Currency Update

  • EUR/USD was unchanged, up 0.41% to 1.08.
  • EUR/GBP was unchanged, up 0.14% to 0.83.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 103.76.
