Finland Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials, and Industrials sectors pushed shares down.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.16%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were:
Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE): rose 3.33% or 0.67 points to trade at 20.79 at the close.
Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA): added 0.55% or 0.02 points to end at 3.76.
Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI): was up 0.52% or 0.06 points to 10.61 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO): fell 2.19% or 0.21 points to trade at 9.40 at the close.
Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV): declined 2.09% or 0.99 points to end at 46.18.
UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM): was down 1.65% or 0.51 points to 30.39.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 106 to 63, and 19 ended unchanged.

Commodity Prices

Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.73% or 1.39 to $78.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.98% or 1.53 to hit $75.89 a barrel.
– The December Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 8.00 to trade at $2,547.20 a troy ounce.

Currency Rates

  • EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.12.
  • EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.66.
