Von der Leyen on Trade Tariffs

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated on Friday that she would only visit the White House if there is “a solution” regarding trade tariffs. This response followed President Donald Trump praising her as a “fantastic person” the previous day.

“I think I had a good conversation with President Trump, both on the phone and at the pope’s funeral. However, if I go to the White House, I want to discuss a concrete package. It must be a solution we can both agree on,” she remarked during a press conference.
