Brazil Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, driven by gains in the Real Estate, Basic Materials, and Financials sectors.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.77%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the Bovespa included:
Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF:PCAR3): rose 7.25% or 0.20 points to trade at 2.96.
Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4): added 4.87% or 0.29 points to end at 6.24.
Cyrela Brazil Realty SA (BVMF:CYRE3): up 4.51% or 0.93 points to 21.54.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3): fell 6.66% or 0.43 points to trade at 6.03, hitting all time lows.
3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas SA (BVMF:BRAV3): declined 2.28% or 0.41 points to end at 17.55.
Atacadao SA (BVMF:CRFB3): down 1.95% or 0.18 points to 9.07.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 506 to 427, with 53 remaining unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility, measuring the implied volatility of Bovespa options, rose 0.35% to 28.75, marking a new 1-month high.

  • Gold Futures (December delivery): down 0.35% or 9.50 to $2,680.80 a troy ounce.
  • Crude Oil (November delivery): rose 1.69% or 1.18 to $71.01 a barrel.
  • US Coffee C Contract (December): fell 2.92% or 7.70 to trade at $256.45.
