Popular blockchain platform Whale Alert, which tracks large cryptocurrency transactions, has recently identified a significant Bitcoin transfer occurring within the last 24 hours.
This transfer comes amid a 2.6% price decline for Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency in the world.
$255 Million in Bitcoin Shoveled Anonymously
According to the data provided, a substantial amount of 4,000 BTC, valued at $255,255,634, was transferred between two anonymous blockchain addresses.
Previously, Whale Alert reported that 2,685 BTC, worth $170,028,061, was moved from Bitfinex to Kraken.
The Bitcoin community expressed excitement in the comments regarding this transaction's implications and nature.
Bitcoin ETF Witness Large $235 Million Inflows
On Monday, Oct. 8, it was reported that spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced significant inflows totaling approximately $235 million.
Fidelity's FBTC fund led with $103.7 million, followed by BlackRock's IBIT at $97.9 million. Ark Invest and Bitwise ETFs saw inflows of $12.6 million and $13 million, respectively.
Currently, these spot ETFs collectively hold 925,266 BTC, valued at about $59.2 billion, with BlackRock (NYSE:BLK) holding the largest share—almost 5% of the circulating Bitcoin supply, according to IntoTheBlock's on-chain data aggregation.
