Spain Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Consumer Services, and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.62%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were:
SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS): rose 5.74% (0.67 points) to trade at 12.35 at the close.
Indra A (BME:IDR): added 4.07% (0.67 points) to end at 17.15.
Banco Santander (BME:SAN): was up 1.17% (0.05 points) to 4.43 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE): fell 2.90% (0.60 points) to trade at 20.10.
International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG): declined 2.55% (0.06 points) to end at 2.29.
Iberdrola (BME:IBE): was down 1.94% (0.27 points) to 13.64.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 138 to 52, and 26 ended unchanged.

Commodities and Currency Update

  • Gold Futures for December delivery were down 0.68% (18.40) to $2,671.90 a troy ounce.
  • Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.33% (0.23) to hit $70.06 a barrel.
  • The December Brent oil contract rose 0.29% (0.21) to trade at $73.77 a barrel.

Currency pairs:
EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.11.
EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.83.
– The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 101.26.
