While Bitcoin was racing from record to record in 2025, the same was not true for altcoin giant Ethereum (ETH).

Ethereum is still around 45% below its 2021 ATH of $4,850. While ETH investors are now expecting an explosive rally, CryptoQuant analyst gave the expected good news for Ethereum.

Ethereum Is Poised for an Explosive Rise!

Although Ethereum has still not started the expected rally due to price manipulations by market makers, a CryptoQuant analyst stated that ETH is preparing for a major rise, showing bullish signals.

At this point, the analyst noted that Ethereum broke many records in June, even though the price did not reach a new ATH.
> “June 2025 was a record-breaking month for Ethereum, even though prices did not reach expected levels due to constant manipulation by Market Makers.”

The analyst pointed out that the amount of ETH held by wallets not belonging to centralized exchanges (CEX) and showing limited outflow broke a record in June. The amount reached 22.7465 million ETH on June 30, up from 16.7281 million ETH in May, marking a massive increase of 35.97 percent.

Additionally, these addresses set a record for purchases made in a single month, accumulating 6.0184 million ETH in June.

Another record achieved by ETH in June was in Liquid Staking. Data showed a significant increase in staking activity, with the amount growing from 34.546084M ETH to 35.526482M ETH between June 1 and June 30.

Most of the addresses accumulating massive amounts of Ethereum belong to institutional investors, ETFs, and whales who prefer earning returns through staking while waiting for substantial price appreciation.

Finally, the analyst stated that although Ethereum’s price hasn’t exploded yet, institutional investors continue to accumulate and lock up ETH at record levels, suggesting that ETH may be preparing for a significant rise.
