According to data shared by Arkham Intelligence, the space rocket company founded by tech billionaire Elon Musk holds a substantial amount of Bitcoin.
Commercial Spacewalk Achievement
This week, the aerospace tech giant successfully conducted the first-ever commercial spacewalk as American entrepreneur and SpaceX engineer Sarah Gillis exited into space at an altitude of over 700 kilometers above Earth. This event was celebrated widely on the X platform owned by Elon Musk.
Plans for Mars
Additionally, Musk outlined his aspirations for launching spaceships to Mars, a goal he has pursued for years to extend human consciousness beyond Earth. He tweeted that if all goes well, the first uncrewed spaceships could be dispatched to Mars in two years when the two planets will be at their shortest distance. If these missions succeed in safely landing on Mars, crews of humans might follow in another two years to establish a self-sustained city.
Bureaucratic Challenges
However, Musk has expressed concerns via recent tweets about the bureaucratic obstacles hindered SpaceX’s further trial flights.
Bitcoin Holdings
In the meantime, SpaceX holds a modest Bitcoin supply, alongside Musk’s other company, Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA). According to Arkham, SpaceX’s Bitcoin stash is currently valued at around $500 million.
