Skilled trader Peter Brandt, active since 1975, commented on Bitcoin's historic price surge past $100,000. He expressed confusion about the excitement, stating that to him, $100,000 is “just another number.”
Brandt referred to the milestone as “a big yawner,” not elaborating on his views about Bitcoin’s record high. Though he has consistently favored Bitcoin over other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and XRP, he recently hinted that he doesn’t expect Bitcoin to halt at $100,000.
Bitcoin Influencers React to New ATH
Following Brandt's tweet, the Bitcoin community discussed the significance of “round numbers” and “human psychology.” Many noted that selling 1 BTC at $100,000 is remarkable.
Bitcoin rose approximately 9.31% in 24 hours, reaching this all-time high. Investors like Anthony Pompliano and Robert Kiyosaki emphasized the importance of surpassing this resistance level. Pompliano suggested it could entice skeptical buyers who fear missing out.
Changpeng Zhao (CZ), Binance’s former CEO, noted he hasn’t gained much from this surge, implying he didn’t buy more BTC during the dip. Meanwhile, Samson Mow from JAN3 reiterated his prediction that Bitcoin could hit $1 million after exceeding $100,000, encouraging Bitcoiners to update their avatars to include “laser eyes” until the goal is reached.
