Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr), which rose 4.78% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.71 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:INLr) added 4.49% or 0.04 points to end at 0.93 and Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) was up 4.31% or 0.04 points to 1.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which fell 1.38% or 0.10 points to trade at 7.17 at the close. Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:ELIr) declined 1.01% or 0.02 points to end at 1.96 and Alumil (AT:ALMr) was down 0.82% or 0.03 points to 3.63.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 76 to 37 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 3.00% or 82.05 to $2,655.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.84% or 2.02 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 2.69% or 2.01 to trade at $72.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.78% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.42% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 106.85.
