Portugal Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, with losses in the Consumer Goods, Utilities, and Industrials sectors leading shares downwards.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.88% to hit a new 6-month low.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the PSI were:
Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS): up 0.70% or 0.04 points to trade at 5.07.
Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO): added 0.55% or 0.01 points to end at 0.92.
Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT): up 0.18% or 0.03 points to 16.83 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP): fell 4.79% or 0.80 points to trade at 15.81.
Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT): declined 3.78% or 0.32 points to end at 8.02.
Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA): down 1.34% or 0.03 points to 2.49.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.

Commodities Update

Brent oil for January delivery was down 5.62% or 4.25 to $71.38 a barrel. In other commodities trading:
– Crude oil for December fell 5.68% or 4.08 to $67.70 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.60 to trade at $2,754.00 a troy ounce.

Currency Update

  • EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.08.
  • EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 104.13.
