Finland Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials, and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.53% to hit a new 1-month low.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were:
– Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V): rose 7.23% or 2.48 points to trade at 36.78 at the close.
– TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO): added 6.53% or 1.16 points to end at 18.92.
– Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA): up 1.75% or 0.76 points to 44.08 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers for the session were:
– Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB): fell 6.22% or 0.37 points to trade at 5.50 at the close.
– Metso Oyj (HE:METSO): declined 5.76% or 0.54 points to end at 8.87.
– Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE): down 5.41% or 0.83 points to 14.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 86, and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B fell to 3-year lows, dropping 6.22% or 0.37 to 5.50. Shares in Neste Oyj fell to 5-year lows, losing 5.41% or 0.83 to 14.42.
Commodities Update
- Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.99% or 0.74 to $74.22 a barrel.
- Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.09% or 0.77 to hit $70.00 a barrel.
- December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 14.70 to trade at $2,744.10 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.08.
- EUR/GBP remained unchanged at 0.83.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 104.05.
